Duffy!

Our newest pattern / kit has just arrived at Bear Essence.

Duffy by Eileen Seifert is the cutest little duckling pattern you have ever seen!

I am so excited about this little pattern that I have 3 on the go.....

Of course I had to make the traditional yellow, but am using the gorgeous japanese alpaca in the 2 lengths, 9mm & 17mm. AND... in true Bear Essence style a pink one!

I'd like to show off my latest little design... TWINKLES!!!  I am so so happy with him...

When Kim and I were working on the roster for the Term 4 classes,  we thought it would be nice to schedule a couple of one day classes in November/December where no homework before the class is required.  This is such a busy time of the year for everyone -- who has time for homework!!! -- and the idea of Twinkles was born...

That night I took home a collection of bits and pieces to bring the idea to life and a couple of days later, voila!!!

Twinkles consists of a wooden bauble cut out which has been painted and decorated with buttons and bits of trims.  The bear is a sew-on-the-line pattern with no joints, stuffed lightly and wrapped around the bauble.  With a glass nose -- so no nose embroidery either!!!He can even  be personalized with a name or message -- a great Christmas decoration to give to a friend or loved one...
