Christmas Dinner with the girls....

We hosted our second Christmas Dinner at "Tides Bar & Grill" in Tooradin this week. I think this will be the place we go to from now on...it is lovely!
We might even have a Christmas in July Dinner next year.....

The company was wonderful. Lots of our bear making friends were able to attend our dinner.
Sadly some of our girls were unable to make it....but you were with us in spirit.

The food was amazing! Way too much food, but I definitely gave it a good go!

By the time dessert arrived we were all so full. I think there might have only been a couple who managed to fit it all in. This mudslide dessert was what I was so looking forward to and only got 1/3 of the way through it....  next time I will begin with dessert!

A fun time was had by all. Hopefully we will see a few more of our beary friends at our dinner next year.

Thank you to a very special lady.....

After a long Tuesday finishing up at 10pm last night after class I arrived at the shop this morning to a huge surprise!

Expecting to walk into a dark shop with lots of dishes and cleaning to do.... I walked into a sparkling clean one! At first I was concerned that I had forgotten to turn everything off before closing up last night... but it slowly dawned on me that I wasn't losing my mind, I had had an early morning visit.

The lights were on, the radio on, urn turned on ready for a cup of tea, dishes washed, dried and put away, both class room tables cleaned and tidied, counter tidied and cleaned and the good old "Dyson" had been given a work out too! The air conditioner was on and the shop was lovely and cool.

I wonder who it could have been....? Of course it was the very special Josey.... I cannot believe that with all of the things happening in her very busy life that she thought of me and came into work very early on her day off to do something so sweet and caring for me.

What a special lady....thank you Josey, you are a treasured friend and I love you dearly. xxx

jiNGle aLL tHe wAy...

As today was Monday and the shop was closed -- Kim and I decided to meet up and sneak in a little Christmas shopping --  where did we go????   Well we headed straight down to Santa's Place to pick up some new Christmas decorations for our trees...

Kim went for the Reds and Lime Greens, whilst I went for the Mochas, Plums and Old Golds...

We had a wonderful day -- Santa's Place is just awesome.  I had been before but this was Kim's first time.  I watched her face as we walked in the door, I didn't want to miss her reaction -- I just knew she was gonna LOVE it!!!

It was well worth a visit -- Santa's Place is a treasure trove of all things Christmas, in every colour imaginable!!!  They also have a cafeteria, a children's playground and a Christmas tree farm!!!

As soon as the trees are decorated, we will post the pictures -- so keep your eyes on this blog...

Hugs
Josey xo

Friday, Friday...

If you walked into our shop today, you would have seen our gigantic classroom table FULL of trims, laces, flowers, charms and bling blings...  as we spent most of the day preparing for the upcoming teacup pincushion workshops.

At one stage we even spread into the garden so that all the freshly dyed flowers, laces and trims could dry in the sun -- what fun we had creating these perfect little packs for you.   Each one, though slightly different, includes all the bits'n'pieces to make your own pincushion -- all you need to supply is a handful of stuffing!!!

Look how pretty they are...

And this is the stunning end result...  Priced at just $33.50, these kits would make wonderful gifts for someone special this Christmas!!!

Come take a little sneak peak at what's been happening in the shop over the past week!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;

Take a look in the five and ten glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes aglow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Toys in ev'ry store

But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be
On your own front door.

A pair of hopalong boots and a pistol that shoots
Is the wish of Barney and Ben;

Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk
Is the hope of Janice and Jen;

And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;

There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well,
The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas;
Soon the bells will start,

And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart.

Isn't it just gorgeous -- No wonder Christmas is our most favourite time of the year!!!
