I left Josey and Heather back in Tooradin looking after the shop while I was in Sydney at the Craft & Quilt Fair with the girls from The Art of Teddy Bears. It was lovely to get to meet and talk to some of our lovely interstate customers in person. It is so nice to put a face to a voice and name.
Our stand looked amazing with the combination of our 2 gorgeous shops. Bear Essence, 3/92 Sth Gippsland Hwy, Tooradin, Victoria and The Art of Teddy Bears, 167 Ramsay Rd, Haberfield, NSW. We are now counting down the weeks to the Melbourne Craft & Quilt Fair, where we will once again team up to give you an extensive and beautiful range of teddy bear making supplies and inspiration.
The very talented and giving bear artist Merilyn Pursell was demonstrating her amazing skills for the entire 5 days of the show. She created some gorgeous pieces including this little Miss Macaroon. The pattern and kit for Miss Macaroon will be available at the shop and on our website towards the end of the week. She has been made from the delicious Japanese mohair in red (which will be pefect for my new colour scheme at home!) I can't wait to see her finished! Merilyn will be demostrating at our stand for 3 of the 4 days of the Melbourne show and will be spending the rest of her time teaching workshops at the shop in Tooradin.
A big thank you to Josey and Heather for doing such a great job while I was away..... I would be lost without you girls!
Sounds like a fun show. I love Merilyn's Miss Macaroon, the flowers in her hair are wonderful.
