Something different at Bear Essence

We are always trying to find new and interesting things to do at Bear Essence. We first met Susie McMahon late last year when she came to Melbourne with her sister (Linda Benson) to teach her adorable little Zozie doll workshop.

It was such a huge success that we invited Susie back for another visit. She taught the girls her cute little "Spring Girl". Here they are after day 2 of class....

Each one an individual and so beautifully made.....

We have some gorgeous Tibetan Lamb on its way for their hair. I can hardly wait to see them all dressed up with their clothes and hair on.

Ballerina Bears with Karen

As Christmas and New Year fade into the background we look forward to what is to come here at Bear Essence. We are already back into the swing of classes for 2012 with our first being the gorgeous little ballerina girls in their slipper. Over the last 2 Saturdays our lovely ladies...lead by the very talented Karen Alderson...... created these adorable girls.

We have another 2 day workshop for these little ballerinas in April.....

Look what my friend Kimmi surprised me with this Christmas... A set of three Sukeshi dolls made and designed by talented doll artist/sculptor, Susie McMahon... Aren't I just the luckiest!!! And to top it all off they were made in my most favourite shades of PINK!!!

Susie visited us last October with her sister Linda Benson, running a range of workshops -- Susie with her Zozie dolls and Linda with her amazing bears...  I have to say, the talent runs very thick in that family!!!


We are once again hosting this popular duo in Term 1.  Susie will be teaching her "Spring Girl" and Linda her gorgeous spirit bear called "Sierra"
