Tins and trims...

We have just spent the last couple of weeks re-arranging the whole shop yet again in a bid to create more space!!!   All the key witnesses will tell you that it went from being neat to slightly overcrowded, to looking like a war zone, to absolutely gorgeous and inviting once again...

With the help of some beautiful new counters and display cabinets, we now have lots of nooks and crannies to display our goodies... Just perfect to show off our stunning new range of tinware only just arrived...

Who can resist a tin, just waiting to be filled with a little gift for someone or just to keep your own treasures in.  Very well priced (ranging from $5.00 to $15.00) and with Christmas just around the corner, these won't be sitting on the shelves for long!!!

We have also become quite well known for the beautiful unique trims which we are quite partial too.  Just look at these beauties... Soooo delicate and exquisite -- waiting patiently to be used on that next project of yours !!!

Hope you enjoyed this little walk through our store...  If you need anything, well you know where to find us.  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday xo

It's Snowbeary season...

I know that you are not going to like hearing this -- but Christmas is really just around the corner!!!    At Bear Essence we have to put our thinking caps on pretty early in the piece to decide what goodies we are going to present you with this Christmas...  and this is our first showcase:

We stumbled across this cute little pattern, which saw the little critters originally made from felt -- but I decided to make a few samples using the beautiful, luscious Japanese Silk and called my little creations "Snowbearies"  Hope you like them!!!

As a special favour for those of you who really don't like embroidering noses, I have used black matt glass noses on a couple of the samples and painted them in colours to suit...  These were so much fun to make and decorate -- very quick and inexpensive too!!!  You can fit three on a 1/16th of fabric -- so they make great little gifts!!!

Customers who have watched these little fellows come to life have requested a class devoted to making them.  And so we have decided to run a one day workshop -- and know it will be very popular.
If you are interested please book in early as class sizes will be limited:  Small classes = more time to play and have fun!!!

I have three little grandchildren now and I'm thinking come Christmas time these little snowbearies are sure to end up on their tree!!!

More Marleys than you can poke a stick at!!!

On Tuesday all the ladies who participated in the Marley class reached the Finish Line and took home not one but two Marleys each...  Well done ladies!!!

Marley is the cute little elephant that Monica Spicer designed earlier this year and has featured in previous blog posts.  As Monica has been unavailable for workshops, she kindly gave permission for me to run the class on her behalf and voila!!!

Thank you to all the ladies who attended... Your creations were an inspiration -- so much so that I am going to make a couple more Marleys myself!!!

And of course, a special thank you to Monica for designing this little cutie for us to have so much fun with :0)
